Hello all,
I truly hope that ***someone*** can assist me with a security pass word problem.
I would like to find out information that would specifically inform me about how to "replace" or "override" the setting that requires a password to access the internet, or websites on my PC...
I have forgotten the current pass code to this security setting... (Here are the steps to get to the option)
1. Control Panel
2. Internet Options
3.Internet Properties
4.Content:
Content Advisor tab... Enable... General... "Supervisor can type a password to allow user to view restricted content..."
???
I forgot this pass word.
I cannot recall the supervisor password, and have tried several times; it is NOT THE SAME code that I use to start up my PC.
I am assuming that the general "ratings" setting restricts Internet access as a whole, because my PC will not allow me to access the web AT ALL without typing the pass code that I have unfortunately forgotten (so sad).
I have tried all seven of my passwords... I need to have access to the internet to do my homework online, and this is frustrating as I hope you understand. It was a random choice, one I regret to choose, when I originally set up the security questions, and something (intuition perhaps) made me think, "should I apply this setting?" And now, I have been locked out. I've never had to use the internet prior to now; I just purchased an air card and now find myself in this dilemma.
Please let me know whether resetting my main pass code (the one that I enter when I turn on my PC) will override the security/ rating pass code and allow me to access the net.

How am I to expect a response to questions sent to a survey???? Is this question or something of the nature regarding this problem- going to be added to the FAQ section of the security web page?... If not, it should be.
Question: How do you Reset or Override the Internet Options, Security, Content "Internet Ratings" Password ...when you've completely forgotten it ????
